B.O: Sundarakanda, V.Express bit the dust

Flops galore continue this year. Charmee who single handedly changed the fate of Mantra could not repeat the same magic with Sundarakanda. This Bapu directed flick failed miserably at the box-office.
What is shocking to the producer and distributors is that the film could not garner decent openings. Despite Charmee's presence, it opened to 20 % to 30 % collections and fell to 10 % by the second day. It didn’t even attract the traditional fan base of director Bapu.
Comparatively, Vishaka Express registered better openings. But it didn't sustain the momentum after the first day. At the end of the week, the film still holds good in Hyderabad but it is unlikely to sustain its collections. 'Allari' Naresh played lead character in both the films and his strength at Box-office is slipping further by each film.
Rishi and Gopika starrer, Veedu Maamulodu Kaadu, was also released last week but went unnoticed. No one cared to talk about it or see it.
Venkatesh releases 'Premabhishekam' music
Venky and Vinayak showered praises on Venumadhav and congratulated him on winning the award. Vinayak said Venumadhav is his favorite comedian and termed him as his lucky mascot. "He had acted in all of my films so far. I never miss him," Vinayak informed. Srihari who is also doing a special role, Ramanaidu, S V Krishna Reddy, music director Chakri and others attended the function.
Premabhishekam has Ruthika and newcomer Priya Mohan as heroines. The film is a spoof on Dasari directed ANR starre by the same name. The music was released on the ocassion of Valentine's Day.
Quick Chitchat: Nagarjuna talks about the award
"I dedicate this award to the three persons who made it possible. They are director Raghavendra Rao, writer J K Bharavi and music director M M Keeravani," Nagarjuna responded after Andhra Pradesh Government announced him Best Actor Award for Sri Ramadasu. He said he was fortunate to do such devotional films that touched the chord with the audiences.
"You don't get roles like Annamayya and Ramadasu everyday. I am really fortunate to do them,” he said.
This is your third Nandi. How do you feel winning it third time?
The real kick was when I bagged it for Annamayya. Wining first time always gives immense satisfaction. I won the first Nandi for Annamayya. And Santosham followed. Today, I get satisfaction from the fact that team work has paid off well and the film also succeeded commercially.
Will you continue doing devotional films?
Such dedicated team and well-researched projects should come, and then I don't mind.
You say the success of Sri Ramadasu belongs to the trio of Keeravani-Bharavi-Raghavendra Rao but none of them won any award!
I don't know why the committee did select them but I genuinely believe they deserve all the praise for its success. Today the

Allu Arjun on the run!

The latest we hear is that they are in favour of picking up an altogether new title - Parugu (means Run).
As the story is about a youngster who indulges in mind game with the film's villain and is always on the run for his lover, the title Parugu, might well suit the script.
Still, the makers are in two minds about it. The film is slated for May 9th release. 16 months of gap!
It has been 12 months since Allu Arjun's last movie released. By the time the film hits the screens, the gap would be 16 months. Among the young heroes, Arjun creates bizarre record!
Exclusive: Kajal opposite Ram Charan

This is a great turn for Kajal's career, as acting in a Rajamouli's film will fetch her huge stardom as well as many more films. Remember how Anushka turned a big star after she acted in Rajamouli's Vikramarkudu.
The film will begin its regular shooting from February 26th in Rajasthan.

Gopichand is the youngest of the three sons of Paruchuri Ventkateswar Rao who hails a big and happy family. Parchuri runs a textile business showroom in Vishakapatnam and Gopichand is the only younger sibling who is still a bachelor. His brothers are happily married and are settled in marriage bliss.
One day Gopichand incident meets Bujji( Bhavana) and falls in love with her . He acts like a CBI officer and meets Bhavana everyday in a beach in the name of interrogation. The reason for interrogating the heroine is that she had run away with 15,000 rupees from Gopichand’s brother Naresh, when he withdraws the amount from the ATM. The reason for the theft is said that a girl was hospitalized and so Bhavana had no choice other than stealing the money from Naresh.
Bhavana’s background I s explained in the next scene, which narrates that she is an orphan and stay’s in a women’s hostel. When Gopichand introduces her to his family, she becomes close to his family members and so his engagement is arranged in Annavaram, with Bhavana.
But unfortunately before the function, one day Ashish Vdhyarthi who plays the villain character in this film and comes to know, that his brother has been beaten black and blue by the hero and the reason for it is that Ashish’s vidhrathi’s brother comments the heroine. And so the villain wants to take the revenge on the hero, and kidnaps Bhavana.
Goipchand is invited to come to a deserted place, where he is beaten and Bhavana is also brutally raped, due to which the heroine dies out of guilt.
Then there the story takes a twist, Gopichand is in a onset mind that the heroine is still living and is with him.
Then the rest of the story is how the hero takes the revenge and how he comes to know that his beloved is already dead. Rajiv Kanakala who is an MLA betrays the hero and joins with the villains.
Then the story takes the route of how the hero all alone takes on the villain which leads to the aptness of the title.
Bhavana is refreshing with her performance and also her face. Her western and traditional dresses are well suitable to the heroine and in some scenes depict Trisha. Her assets and curves are well revealed in the movie.
Parchruri , Naresh , Sayaji Shinde , Raghu Babu and others do the justice to their characters.
Manisharma’s music is good and the two songs n the film are peppy and catchy. The rest are average.
Comedy is averagely sketched in the film and all the comedians perform well.
The film will portray Gopichand in a mass role as well as action her.On the whole the film is sure to be watched and will surely run for 50 days.

Movie Review.....
Unfortunately, the bomma that Bapu has created this time fails to either entertain or evoke any other emotion apart from deep apathy. In the title credits, you have graphic effects replacing the usually hand-drawn designs. That makes one hopeful and you are bound to settle down for an interesting film created by the Bapu-Ramana duo. But what you get to watch only makes you wish you hadn’t been there in the first place.
For starters, the film’s story is reminiscent of Bapu’s very own 'Muthyala Muggu'. The rich boy meets poor girl, falls in love and marries her on the spur of the moment – till here, it is the same theme. But the similarities do not end there. Then there is the rejection by the boy’s family, separation and the girl bringing up her child as a single parent. The similarities end here. There are no monkey-gods here to help unite the mom and dad. Instead, we have Pinky who takes upon herself to get her parents together.
This takes her to her father’s village and she sets about changing the hearts of her dad’s family. Her mission – to make them see their folly and accept their ‘Sita-like’ daughter-in-law. For this, she has to tackle the village bad man and aspirant politician Kota (Kota Srinivasa Rao) and his aides. It goes without saying that the rest of the movie shows how she plays her pranks to sidetrack Kota and get her grandparents to accept her and her mother.
Little said the better about Bapu’s making. It is colourful as always, only this time the colours are quite jarring on the eyes. While he tries to reach over to the younger generation through Pinky, he remains struck in a time warp as he tackles the main plot. There are neither the brilliant dialogues as in Pelli Pustakam nor the subdued beauty of the female protagonist as in Muthyala Muggu. Instead we get a Bapu bomma trying too hard to draw attention to herself, losing her identity and charm in the bargain.
The audience is worse hit when the songs come. The lyrics actually put you to sleep and belong to a totally different era. As for the cast, you only feel bad for Charmme and Allari Naresh. Given that both of them are open to experimentation, they do not deserve to be part of such a film. After 'Mantra', Charmme surely could have had a better release. But as they say in the showbiz, what goes up comes down equally fast. Only for Charmme, it has been a bit too soon. Allari Naresh should be really disappointed by the way his character has finally shaped up. He plays a journo who works alongside the heroine. Just like his character, he too is relegated to playing a supporting role and is hardly the main protagonist as he was made out to be. The film actually belongs to Sunil Sharma and Prema, as it is their story that Bapu chooses to tell.
Even hardcore fans of Charmme and Bapu will find it impossible to sit through this ‘Pinky menace’. If you still want to go, watch it at your own risk!!

Moview Review.....
Vara Mullapudi has come up with a good suspense thriller. The film is quite racy with a gripping screenplay which will make the audiences glued to the seats. The un-predictable sequences make the film even more watch able.
The story is about the conflict between tow protagonists – Allari Naresh and Rajeev kanakala. Kanakala is a young doctor who lives with his father, Kota srinivas rao. Kota srinivas rao’s character in this film is an alcoholic character and accordingly he creates nuisance every day and this makes Rajeev kanakala embarrassing daily. But his love towards his father never ends and grows day by day.
One day, Kota is admitted into the hospital following an accident and after some time of his admission he dies on the hospital bed. Rajeev learns that his father has not died of injuries in the accident, but has been under wrong medication which leads to his death.
Rajeev’s aim is to find out who the criminals are. Then enters the character of Allari Naresh, who is a young and newly married guy, who is also a cold blooded murderer. The Psychopathic Naresh reveals to Rajeev that, it was he who killed kota(Rajeev’s father) and as per the mutual agreement made in the train, in turn Rajeev must kill Allari Naresh’s wife Preeti Jhangiani.
What is the agreement between them and, why does Naresh decide to kill his wife preeti forms the rest of the story which has to be watched on the silver screen.
Performances
Rajeev kanakala and Allari naresh literally compete with each other, to come up with a better performance, Rajeev, who is senior to Naresh in terms of acting, as he has made his appearance almost 12 years back on small screen, gave his 100 percent to the film. His acting and expressions were much suitable, apt, and according to the sequence. He dominates the screen fro a major part of the first half.
Allari Naresh on the other hand has done a decent job this time. But his body language and the impression he has already made in the hearts of Telugu audience as a comedy hero, makes his serious role little bit un-digestible. Especially his serious role of a psychopath, who has a desire to kill his wife, makes us feel that he should have given more of his, for this role.
Kota Srinivas Rao as usual has made a mark in the film and especially his emotional scene on the hospital bed after the accident, ouches the hearts of the audience.Preeti does not have much to do, but her costumes say a lot.
Ali as a sub inspector promises to do something big in the film. But his role is chopped when the Circle Inspector sends him on a one year leave term.
Music is average and is composed by Rajiv kurakula. The screen play of Chandrashekar is also good and the suspense element in the film is well maintained. The film looks dragging in the second half of the film, when the suspense slowly gets un-wrapped. But at last it is well finished.
Vara Mullapudi pay his tribute to the great artist, cartoonist and director Bapu by showing his paintings and his photos in a song sequence. The friendship between Bapu and Vara’s father, Mullapudi Venkat is legendary.
On the whole, the present hit flavor is suspense which can be seen from the hits of MANTRA and ANASUYA. So this film will also settle in that genre and will be sure to run for almost 4-5 weeks.

Movie review.....
They said that it was inspired by Bruce Almighty. Then we heard it was similar to the ANR starrer Bhudhimanthudu. Now that the film has released, we can conclude that it is not inspired either by two, or at least not in total. It is indeed interesting to watch both Vishnu and Nagarjuna in the same frame, given that they both have a different body language. In fact, both of them look perfectly sync and appear more like tow friends chilling out. Their off screen chemistry cannot be missed on screen too.
But that is all out of it and nothing more positive about the film can be said. P. Vasu is the director of this film who last directed the film Chandramukhi with the superstar Rajnikanth. But one can wonder is this a film directed by the creative director like Vasu or his assistants as the story and the screen play are so predictable and looks childish and one can easily wonder does this film belong to this generation. it is a film which must and should have been produced in the year of 80’s and the story which belongs to that generation ahs nothing new to impress the audience.
Story:
The films first frame opens with Arjun (Vishnu ) lying on the bed in the ICCU of a hospital and battling for his life. The film then goes on to a flash back. Arjun is born in a sanctum of Lord Krishna Temple. His mother is a mentally unstable woman, who is pregnant and a run away from a mental asylum. She gives birth to Arjun and dies.
Arjun’s Grandmother Manorama brings up Arjun by working as a Maid in a house of Nazar. Arjun grows up into a well built male, who is innocent and hardworking guy.Satya (Mamtha Mohan Das) is the younger sister of Nazar who is an arrogant and a spoilt brat. Arjun also works in the same house of Nazar and daily drops Mamta in her college and also helps his grandmother in her domestic duties. Then enters the so called villain of the film. Thanikella Bharani plays the character of a rich Diamond merchant who comes to Nazar’s house as a guest. His son falls for Sathya and she also takes a liking for him as he is a rich person who can make her flooded by Diamonds. but there is a twist.Brahmanandham as an astrologer says that whoever marries Satya will die within a short span of time.Nazar hatches a plan and gets Arjun to tie the knot to sathya . His plan is that as soon as Arjun dies due to the Kuja Dhosham of Satya, he can perform her marriage with Tanikella ‘s son and they can live happily.
But however Arjun’s life takes a turn after the marriage as his grandmother dies, when she comes to know the truth about the marriage. Arjun also tries to commit suicide, but then enters Lord Krishna’s Character which is played by Yuvasamrat. he saves him and induces some confidence and Will Power into him and makes him well shielded against the evil plans of Nazar and Bharani.Arjun who metamorphosed into a man with immense Will power and strength takes on the villains with the help of Lord Krishna. How he accomplishes the task is suspense and a must watch on the big screen.
Performances
Vishnu as a innocent hero looks average in the film. But his hefty body looks little bit awkward in some scenes. Wonder why he does not make his chest and his stomach slim so that he can be called as a young hero. His body language and mannerisms suits the role to some extent, but that too in close up shots as his body size makes it difficult to digest accordingly with his mannerisms.Nagarjuna as usual looks good as a modern god and adds a highlight to the film. Though he appears only in some shots, but his presence on the screen makes his fans cheer a lot with whistles in the theatre.
Mamtha Mohan Das has nothing much to act, but has a lot to expose by her sexy assets and curves she add the glam quotient to the film and in the songs.Nazar and Bharani act their role with perfection. They act their roles in a professional manner.Mohan Babu is the main highlight of this movie that appears like Shirdi Sai Baba in the movie. Though his role is short he makes a mark in the film.
The Music by MM Keeravani is average. There is no scope to hum any of the song after watching the movie as they are not at all catchy.
The comedy bandwagon is lead by Brahmannadham who plays the character of an Astrologer, who has a young and beautiful wife. He makes his trade mark in the film. Sunil, Venu, MS Narayana add up to the comedy track which is below average. The director has added 30 % of special effects in the movie thinking that this is going to add to the success of the film. But in this fast world and audience with fast thinking does not make an impression at all.
On the whole we can conclude that only to attract the audience , the entry of Nagarjuna and Mohan Babu are added as suppose ,if not the theatre would not fill fully on the first day itself. This movie is just going to run for few weeks and that too by the helping hand of the Fan associations. If not the distributors come into dilemma, thinking about how they can recover the losses.

Movie review.....
Neelakanta has developed a style all his own, and his films come under the 'clean, family entertainment' bracket. Mister Medhavi has traces of his earlier movie, Sada Mee Sevalo, but just traces of it though. The plus points of the movie: humor, dialogues, characters. Minus points: pace, mediocre music, routine story.
Vishwak Sena is named, educated and brought up by his village primary school teacher (Tanikella Bharani) as he is orphaned at an early age. Swetha comes to his village from Canada as her grandmother is sick, and goes to the school for a while there. Vishwak falls in love with her. They become friends but she soon goes back to Canada. After an MBA degree Vishwak joins a company. He meets Swetha again as she is his employer's daughter. But Vishwak is now a calculative person, who believes life runs on these very calculations. He plans to make Swetha fall in love with him, but fate seems to have other plans as Siddhartha comes into their lives.
Story, Screenplay and Direction The narrative is definitely interesting in the movie. It seems like a risk, a make or break thing. But it works for the movie. Neelakanta's movies have a real life touch to it, that's both realistic yet magical. He doesn't try anything different, which sometimes is a good thing. He's good with some aspects, like characters and narrative. A HR who's passion is theatre (MS Narayana wearing drama company greasepaint and Krishna costume-a riot), a 'Gandhian' who doesn't practice what he preaches (Brahmanandam) and Vishwak Sena himself. Reminds you of the late Jandhyala or even Bapu sometimes, as far as character portraitures are concerned.
The pace of each scene is deliberately slow, because real life is not a blur of fast moving objects. But with the average attention span decreased due to obvious reasons, it gets difficult to stay alert in some parts of the movie. Basically, the grip slackens. The songs are again a drag, except one.
A small chunk of the movie contains Raja speaking directly to the camera, and the childhood love story between Raja and Genelia. The office gossip and atmosphere is real. The various characters in the office, and even Sonu Sood's entry is good.
Performances Raja suits the character of Vishwak Sena, and he is expressive even as he is subtle. The energy level is down though, and surprisingly, even Genelia has downplayed her character for once. Funnily enough, the young Swetha has an accent while the grown-up Swetha has no trace of an accent. Suman as an entrepreneur shines in one scene where Siddhartha asks his employees to list out his bad qualities. Sonu Sood as Siddhartha, true to his name is slightly lofty yet likeable character and Sood does a convincing act. MS Narayana is really amusing as is Dharmavarapu. Tanikella Bharani justifies his role.
Music and Dance Boring songs, picturization including. The background is good in places.Last Word The first half is good, the humor element is ever-present and its light entertainment throughout that has believable characters. The grip is lost somewhere in the second half and the movie drags there, but it all works out in the end. No go for the front-benchers. Watchable for the rest.

Movie review.....
Story:
KK (Jagapathi Babu) is a businessman and lands in USA along with his daughter. Shailu (Anushka) is a youngster who leads passive life with mounting financial problems and taking care of her mother and her sister's son. KK moves into her neighborhood and he infuses 'hope' in her and changes her attitude towards the life. She slowly then falls in love with him. When she proposes to him, KK reveals his past - about his married life with Vidya (Bhumika) and the reason for his coming to USA.
Analysis
Director Dasaradh is one of the sensible directors in Tollywood. He proved his mettle with Santosham. But his latest offering, Swagatham, fails to impress. He tries to do the same trick that he did in his maiden venture. Copying the basic plot from Hindi blockbuster Kal Ho Naa Ho, Dasaradh presents same age-old 'one-guy-two-women' drama with loads of sentiment. He attempts to capitalize Jagapathi Babu's image of 'iddaru muddugummala murari' but doesn't bring novelty on to the screen.
The problem with the film lies in its treatment. When the story is not good or oft-repeated one, narration should be engrossing and brimming with energy. Also these kind of stories require superb music and rich production values to elevate the mood. But the work of music director RP Patnaik and cameraman Ramesh is less said the better. RP has failed in giving lilting tunes also his background score is nothing to rave about. While the first half is KHNH, the post interval drama resembles to that of Jagapathi Babu starrer Mavi Chiguru. The script and screenplay has many pot holes. Entire first half is very passive.
Performances
Jagapathi Babu does the same role that he has been doing for years though he looks handsome and much younger. Bhumika gives one of her career best performances. Her chemistry with Jagapathi Babu looks fantastic. Their romantic episodes are the best part of the film. Anushka looks sexy but nothing much to talk about her acting. Arjun in a guest role is okay. Comedy is adequate. Allari Ravi Babu does the role of Homosexual and his jokes about 'map' and Bang-'Cock' are in bad taste.
Technically the film is too weak. None of the technicians' job is worth mentioning. Dasardh shows his mark and creativity in Jagapathi Babu and Bhumika's episode but he seems to have stuck at Santosham.
Swagatham - Check out Patnaik’s version of Piya tu ab to aajaSwagatam is the much awaited film from Jagapati Babu. It is his 75th film and has been shot extensively in the colder climes of the US. Like always, he has two heroines in the movie. So, the album too has a mix of songs that suit the storyline which is a story of three lovers. From Veturi to Bhaskara Bhatla, the film has four lyricists, including Kulasekhar and Kaluva Krishna Sai. It is also nice to hear SP Balasubramaniam and son Charan rendering playback for a track each.RP Patnaik does a remix version of Pancham da’s Piya tu ab to aaja and that gives the album a new element. Barring that, the songs fall between the melodious and sad song categories.
Bottom-line
Swagatham is mix of Kal Ho Na Ho and Mavi Chiguru. It is loaded with sentiment and fails to impress. Although the second half is okay, it finally turns out to be typical Jagapathi Babu's film - a 'man and two women' drama. Its success purely lies on how well the women audiences accept it?

Movie review.....
Popular producer MS Raju, who had brought out several hit films under Sumanth Art Productions, has made his debut as director for Vaana under his own banner. He chose a successful Kannada film Mungaru Male and remade it in Telugu. It is learnt that MS Raju first opted to promote his son Sumanth Ashwin as hero through this movie. However, he dropped the idea as the hero needs to show different emotions and it needs some experience. At the same time, he thought that the audience should also get a new face as hero as the storyline is mainly based on love. MS Raju, made this love story quite entertaining with a novel movement of the story.
Abhiram @ Abhi (Vinay), son of an industrialist (Naresh), falls in love at first sight with Nandini (Meera Chopra). Abhi's mother Uma (Jayadudha) takes him to Bharati's (Sita) house. In fact, it is Uma, who helps Bharati in getting married to Col Choudary (Suman) as they both fall in love. Incidentally, Nandini is Bharati's (Sita) daughter. However, to Abhi's surprise, he comes to know that he has come there for Nandini's marriage. Abhi proposes to Nandini but the latter takes it casually in the initial stage. Later, she too loses her heart to Abhi. The latter then comes to know from Choudary that Nandini is getting married to a person, who saved his life in a battle when he was in Army. Despite that Abhi decides to take her away, but drops the idea after Uma tells him that 'Love is sweet and sacrificing is divine' and tells him that Choudary and Bharati have high regards on Uma and she doesn't want to spoil their family prestige. These words make him to sacrifice his love. Abhi changes his attitude and pretends that he is suspecting the fidelity and character of Nandini, who misunderstands him and develops hatred. In that process, she marries the one, whom his father brought as an alliance. Abhi remains alone, with his heart full of Nandin's memories.

STORY:
Ajay (Sumanth) aspires to be a civil servant and tops in UPSC exams. He finds love in another student Samyukta (Kajal). His father Paandu (Suman) is right hand man to a local don Zaheer (Nassar). While son believes in the legal system, father works under the other parallel power system. Their ideological clashes put son and father fitting against each other. One day, Zaheer cheats Paandu and kills him. Now it is the turn of Ajay to rise against that power system.
Pourudu is a sensitive, but hard hitting portrayal of a father, son conflict and the conflict of gangs and gangsters. Ajay (Sumnath) is a top ranker in civil service exams. He is eagerly waiting for a call from Delhi for an interview. Pandu (Suman) is his father and Ajay hates his father from the core of his heart for his violent thinking. Pandu, is a right hand of Ali Bhai ,a big mafia gangster, who is seen as doing some good to the society ,and that too which the police could not do.
Ajay falls in love with Samyukta (Kajal) who is the daughter of Dharmavarapu. Meanwhile Ajay pleads his father to leave the gang of the gangster and to lead a honest and law abiding life. Ajay believes that it is the duty of the police department and the law to punish the evil doers to the society and common people have no right to take the law into their own hands and punish the wrong doers. Whereas Ali bhai does the opposite of what Ajay thinks and also makes Ajay’s father to do so.
Meanwhile, Ajay gets an interview call from Delhi and while leaving for the interview he gets into a brawl with a gangster. Pandu gets killed in the action by Ali bhai, but after he has served his purpose. The question before Ajay is to go to Delhi and pursue his dreams to become a IAS officer, or take revenge on his father’s killers. And this suspense is a must to watch climax on the big silver screen.

What's it about
After completing M.SC (computers), Krishna (Ravi Teja) wanders around Vijaywada city without any job and falls in love with Sandhya (Trisha) at first sight. Sandhya avoids Krishna initially but soon develops soft corner towards him. She is sister of a builder in Hyderabad (Shayaji Shinde) but she lives with her cousin Bobby (Brahmanandam) in Vijayawada. Now the drama shifts to Hyderabad. Krishna comes to Hyderabad when Sandhya shifts there. A rowdy called Jatka (Mukul Dev) vows that he would marry Sandhya only. The rest of the film is how Krishna takes on Jatka.
Analysis
What do you expect from a Ravi Teja film? Entertainment, right! From the word go, Krishna offers it aplenty. Full of comedy, less of action, Krishna is a complete paisa vasool entertainer. It is a surprise to see that director Vinayak taking a complete turn around. He effortlessly switches to comic entertainers from masala action movies. Ravi Teja and Brahmanandam bring the house down with their perfect comic timing. The first half is joyful ride - you can't stop laughing through out. The best part is that Vinayak has packaged the film so perfectly till the end with right mix of entertainment, glamour and action. Krishna has more of Sreenu Vaitla touch in this Vinayak film. Vinayak gaaru, we welcome this change! No doubt, it is a formula film but the screenplay and the narrative structure is too good and doesn't shift your focus. Dialogues are hilarious. Comedy is created even in the villains gang. Chase sequences and Vinayak's trademark scenes of blasting vehicles feature here too (only twice) but it is the entertainment that dominates and doesn't make you bore anywhere. Aided by good technical values and high production values, the film is a perfect film for an outing during the Sankranthi time.
Some aspects that should be mentioned:
1) Comedy between Ravi Teja and Brahmanandam
2) Ravi Teja taking away Trisha from villain and the following chase sequence
3) Screenplay and dialogues
4) Cinematography On the down side, it slows down towards the climax and lacks no novelty in storyline. The last song comes as hindrance to the flow of the story.
Performances
No other hero can do such comedy except Ravi Teja. He is perfect to such kind of roles. With each film, he is improving, especially in comic timing. It is his show all the way. Trisha is so beautiful and this is the first time that she played glamorous character in Telugu. Ravi Teja and Trisha's pairing is also perfect and they have good chemistry. Brahmanandam takes the onus. Without him, the film is nothing. The veteran comedian is like a wine that tastes better with each day. After Dhee, Chandramohan gets another comic role. Newcomer Mukul Dev is good. Shinde, Kota, Sunil, JP and others have done adequate job. Technical and production values should be mentioned. Chota K Naidu's camera brings richness to the screen. Perhaps, Vijayawada has never been so beautifully captured. After delivering dud like Yogi, V V Vinayak comes with refreshingly. He has reinvented his style and delivers goods again. After Lakshmi and Tulasi, writer Akula Shiva comes up with another winner. He gets full appreciation as director this time. He has extracted good performances from actors and technicians and blended it perfectly. Songs by music Chakri is adequate.
Bottom-line!
Krishna offers paisa vasool entertainment. If you are looking for good times pass this pongal, this can be the right choice. Comedy is its strength. Don't look for novelty in the story; Krishna takes you on comic ride.

Movie review......
Okkamagadu is an apt movie with a powerful story line is, by and of Balakrishna. Director YVS Chowdary has put in all his efforts to make this film in most macho way possible .his script and screenplay are perfect according to the NBR fans. In some Stage the film reminds one of Bharateeyudu to a large extent and also Aparichithudu to some extent.Story Veera Venkata Satyanarayana Swamy (Balakrishna) is a young man who lives with his aged Grandfather he is good natured and comes to the aid of the people who are in need. He takes on a powerful minister when he gives a shelter to a runaway culprit son of the minister who wants to marry a girl from a modest background. As the young Blooded Satyanarayana Swamy is fighting with the minister at one level, another person named as Okkamagadu takes on the corruption in the society and also punishes the wrong person who indulges in evil deeds. The CBI is after this Okkamagadu as they want him at any cost, as the ministerial level pressure increases on them to capture the person who is also labeled as innocent killer in their view. Finally they trace him in Venkatapuram. The whole story is captured in a flash back. Rajaram is a doctor in a small village. His younger brother and sisters are brutally killed by the British Army soldiers, during the regime of the British before Indian Independence. This forces him to take up the law in his hands and to punish and end their atrocities. Simran(Looking Hot ) raises Her voices against the British and is disrobed in the public by the British officer. Rajaram saves her and later falls in love with her and marries her. Later on he is titled as Okkamagadu for his valor and fearlessness crusade against the British. The rest of the story is how the Okkamagadu takes on the corrupt officials and inefficient people and puts an end to it in the society. He sieves the wrong doers in the society which is well portrayed on the screen and is sure to watch on the big screenPerformances Balakrishna plays the dual role of Swami and Rajaram who happen to be a Grandfather and Grandson. The grandson has nothing much to do except dancing in love songs along with sexy beauties Anuska and Nisha. He also gets some powerful dialogues and show his trademark mannerism which he does perfectly. The senior Balakrishna fights of Martial arts in the climax are mind blowing and have been executed well. Anushka sizzles in a brief glam doll role. Her role is limited to dream about young Balakrishna and to feature in three dance songs. Simran on the other hand played a good role and justified her character of a devoted and obedient wife to a freedom fighter. She looked hot in some scenes. Nisha kothari who is a product of Ram Gopal Varma gave a stiff competition to Anushka and completely overshadowed Sex beauty Anushka with some revealing outfits and skin show. Raghu babu played the sidekick of the villain and added some comedy to the action movie. Songs like Okamagadu and Pattucheera with Anushka and Nisha Kothari depicted balaya Babu like a Manmadha dancing in the Indralokam. Dialogues like Iragadheesta, Okasari Modalepedthe inka aaapanu , Naku modalupettadam gaine appadam theliyadu are packed with punch of Balakrisha mass dialect and is very much applaud able. Balaya’s get up as Okkamagadu depicts him as previous Bharateeyudu . The film runs very slowly in the first half. The major part of the film is the second half and is portrayed like a period film about freedom struggle. Totally this film is a must see picture as it is again in the lines of Bharateeyudu, Tagore, Aparichithudu and latest Sivaji –The boss. It is sure that this film is going to run for 50 days ,but more than it and up to 100 days is ?
